✿✿The Script✿✿

**I ad-libbed a few lines**

Line 1: ‘Thrifting’, is a word that has become very popular over the last few years. I can remember a time when the thought of going to the thrift store caused me to cringe with embarrassment, but times have definitely changed; now I absolutely love the idea of going to the thrift store.
Line 2: I ended up falling in love with thrifting in 2010 when my boyfriend and I moved into our first apartment, and realized it takes more than a bed, couch and TV to furnish it. Ironically just like when I was a child, I had once again moved across the street from a thrift store, talk about Déjà vu.
Line 3: Not wanting to spend a ton of money I suggested we stop by the Goodwill across the street to see what they had. The second those doors open I was hooked. I found some amazing pieces over the years including, paintings, sculptures, a floor plant, lamps, and a beautiful bench.
Line 4: Now that the apartment was starting to come together life was good until, I landed a job a at a law firm, now don’t get me wrong I was ecstatic, but at 22 this was my first job outside of retail, that required me to dress up.  With two pairs of dress pants and a few blouses, I knew I needed more clothes. So where did I go back to my new BFF, Goodwill.
Line 5: From that point the rest was history. I became known in the office as the girl who rarely wore anything twice. I was involved in a lot of office gossip such as “She must come from money”, or “Married rich”, blah blah blah. This didn’t bother me one bit, although very amused I could care less about those childish rumors, as I knew it was far from the truth. In all honesty I love looking like I come from wealth especially since I only spent a fraction of the cost to do so. To be honest I could take $500 and come back with close to 300 items, it’s all about knowing how to look your best without breaking the bank.

Clothing Haul Coming Soon :-)

Please ignore the random hair ball at the end. It came out of nowhere, literally O_O LoL.
I had fun making this video as you can tell at the end I was pretty much over trying on shoes as I didn't have the energy to fasten the straps... ahh well :-)

~✿✿A Trip Down Memory Lane✿✿~

As a child I can remember being the "VICTIM" of many embarrassing trips to our local thrift store. It was this old white building filled with junk people wanted to get rid of. I can remember looking over my shoulders to make sure no one from school saw me going in there with my mom, who was practically dragging me by my coat collar because I put up a fight. Everything was out dated and the place smelled horrible. I can remember saying to my mom "Eww this place smells like old people". I have no clue what "old people" smell like lol, but as a child I associated the thrift store with being a place where old people's stuff got donated. I knew my mother couldn't afford the most lavish clothes, but I couldn't wrap my young mind around why it had to be the thrift store of all places. Finally coming to terms with it and attempting to put the best outfits I could together I went through the rest of the school year as normal. I no longer cared about where my clothes came from and just focused on being a kid and having fun. My mom and I ended up moving right before I entered 7th grade which meant I had to make new friends. Unfortunately my "new friends" happened to be judgmental preteens, who made an appoint to openly embarrasses me one day during gym class because of the appearance of my clothes. My little 12 year old heart was crushed, and I went home that day and cried to my mother about how much my so called friends made fun of me. Not wanting to see me that hurt by my classmates again my mom took me shopping at a regular department store the following week for new clothes. That day put an end to my rocky relationship with the thrift store.
